Celebrating a life of adventure
On Friday July 2nd , 2021, Brandon Mark Hartsock, beloved son and brother passed away at the age of 32.
Brandon was born August 8th, 1988 in San Diego California into a loving family. Before receiving his bachelors degree from Cal State San Marcos, Brandon proudly served as a U.S. Marine out of Camp Pendleton. During his service he was widely recognized as a profound and respected leader having graduated at the top of his class and receiving numerous accolades for Olympic level sharp shooting. After receiving his bachelors degree in supply chain management he continued his work in logistics for WD40.
Brandon had a passion for adventures. He loved to fish at his happy place, Leisure lake in Nebraska where he grew to love the pastime from a young age. He also loved to golf, rock climb, camp, and test his limits in a variety of outdoor environments. Having traveled the world in service, he was rich in wild stories of exotic animals and interesting people. His thunderous laugh, animated personality, and infectious smile would light up any room. Brandon had a monumentally kind spirit and was full of compassion for those around him. His hugs were real and deep and embracing and those who experienced them, truly felt his love.
Brandon is survived by his father Bill, mother Kimberly, brothers Ryan and Andrew, sister Megan, nephew George and niece Dolly.
He will truly be missed.
The memorial service will be held Saturday, July 17th, at 1p.m. at Seacoast Community Church in Encinitas CA. With reception to follow.
Brandon will be buried at Miramar August 3rd, with full military honors, in a private family ceremony.
